In this paper, the characteristics of omnidirectional band gap (OBG) for one-dimensional plasma cylindrical photonic crystals based on an improved Fibonacci topological structure are researched. The influences azimuthal mode number (m), incident angle (?), thickness (dp), and frequency (?p) OBG discussed. These conclusions drawn that m has a strong ability to regulate OBG. As increased, will be broadened. ? similar in adjusting (PBG), larger get wider PBG. When = 85°, TM wave achieves PBG range 0–3 (2?c/d). So ultra-wide can got by large ?. Contrary m, dp inverse relationship with bandwidth increases, decreased. Fortunately, controlled dp. But ?p cannot Increasing reducing appropriately obtain lower This feature is very beneficial designing devices such as waveguides, filters, antenna substrates. addition, interesting phenomenon found when 2, extra high reflection zone inspired wave. It provides theoretical support narrowband filters without introducing any physical defect layers structure.
